The tragedy in Orlando has shaken us all to the core. We’ve already heard from impacted individuals asking for our assistance.

As the national organization at the intersection of LGBTQ rights and immigration law, we are here to help survivors and their family members. That is why we are proud to partner with the Central and South Florida Chapters of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) to launch “Immigrant Action Orlando.”

Here are three things you can do right now to support the LGBTQ community in Orlando:

  1. If you know of anyone affected by this tragedy in need of immigration assistance, please have them call 212-714-2904 or email orlando@immigrationequality.org

  2. If you’re a lawyer you who wants to help by donating pro bono services, please sign up for our Pro Bono Network here

  3. If you would like to support our lifesaving work, you can also make a donation to help us keep serving those who need us most

We already have partnerships with more than 20 pro bono attorneys in Florida ready to serve the community. And, there are many more throughout the nation eager to lend a hand. While it has been a difficult week, I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support our community has received. Together, we can make a difference.

Yours sincerely,

Aaron C. Morris
