Moisés Kaufman, the pioneering and award-winning theater artist whose works include Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, I Am My Own Wife and the seminal play and film The Laramie Project. Moisés, who moved to the United States from Venezuela in 1987, is being honored with Immigration Equality's Global Vision Award.
Moisés' life and work have enriched the dialogue of his adopted country. He exemplifies the power and creativity of LGBT immigrants and stands as a model for everyone who has come to America seeking the freedom to be themselves.
